New accreditation for government employment scheme

Speakeasy is supporting the new government workplace initiative Disability Confident, a scheme which aims to highlight and recognise employers’ commitment to championing disabled people’s potential within their organisation.

The first level of the scheme recognises employers who have read, and committed to the principals, such as promoting employment, training and empowerment of disabled people in the workplace. It is known as Disability Confident Committed and allows firms to display this logo.

The second level of accreditation is awarded for firms hat actively promote and employ disabled people through apprentice scheme, training, work experience and paid employment. With its track record of innovative employment practices, inclusion and education, Speakeasy expects to qualify for Level 2 – Disability Confident Employer.
