About us
About us
Our history
In 1985 Speakeasy was established by speech and language therapist Stephanie Holland in Fairfield Hospital to provide therapy for people with aphasia. Over the last 3 decades it has developed and overcome the challenges faced by the changes in Health Services and approaches to therapy and support.
Now Speakeasy exists for people with aphasia and their carers, providing activity from within the community, working within a social approach to disability.
Volunteers
Speakeasy relies on the support of volunteers. Read more about becoming a Speakeasy Volunteer
